Counselling / Psychology / Mental Health

Madelyn aims to create a safe and welcoming (virtual!) therapy space through her client-centred approach. She believes that the therapeutic relationship itself can serve as a place of solace, self-exploration, and discovery. Connect for an individual session from anywhere - all that is required is a reliable telephone or internet connection.

Welcome! Your story is important to me - I look forward to getting to know you :)

Some fun facts about me: - I am a naturally curious being - I enjoy deep conversations about things like philosophy, psychology, personal values, and the human experience - I am a HUGE animal lover and I honour this part of myself by volunteering with a dog rescue - I’m neurodivergent (diagnosed later in life) - I’m a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community (realized later in life), and - I’ve had the privilege of working in the “helping humans” sector for over a decade

Some less-fun (but still important) facts about me: I completed my Master of Counselling degree at Athabasca University, and Bachelor of Applied Science (Adult Development) at the University of Guelph.

I have a variety of experiences working in both the non-profit and private sectors of mental health & human services, including via psychotherapy and counselling work since 2016, and prior to that in multiple helping roles on and off since 2007.

I would describe my professional approach as eclectic, holistic, and integrative, and my therapeutic presence as humorous (when appropriate), engaged, relatable, and grounded.

I want to make sure we are a good fit to work together - feel free to email me to schedule a free intro call!
